A FiveM Pro script that checks its licence does so when it starts and once an hour after that. The check asks whether Pro is active on the Discord account the key belongs to.
One key covers every Pro script, on as many of your own servers as you like. Free scripts do not check anything and need no key.
Note: Not every Pro script checks a licence yet.
Scripts released before licence keys existed run without one. If a script’s console reports a missing or invalid licence key, this page is the fix.

Step 1: Generate your key in the portal
Sign in at portal.fwdscripts.com and press Generate licence key. You need active Pro to generate one.
Step 2: Copy it straight away
The full key is shown once. We only keep a fingerprint of it and its last four characters, so nobody can show it to you again. Store it somewhere safe, like a password manager.
Step 3: Add it to server.cfg
Put the line above the

Use set, not setrLink to this section
Caution: setr hands your key to every player on the server.
setr replicates a value to every connected client. Always use set for the licence key. If you used setr, regenerate the key.
What the check saysLink to this section
| Answer | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | Pro is active. The script runs. |
| Invalid | The key is missing, mistyped or has been replaced. Check the line in server.cfg, or regenerate the key and paste the new one. |
| Expired | Pro is not active on the Discord account that owns the key. Restart the subscription in Discord. |
| Revoked | We switched the key off. Open a ticket to find out what happened. |
| Could not reach the licence server | Our side did not answer. The script keeps running on its last good check; see below. |
When our servers are downLink to this section
A script that cannot reach us keeps running on its last good check, for up to 72 hours. It tries again every hour, so it recovers on its own once we are back. A short outage on our side does not take your server down.
Lost or leaked keysLink to this section
Press Regenerate in the portal. The old key stops working at its next check, which is within the hour.
Caution: Your Pro scripts stop until you paste the new key.
Have server.cfg open before you regenerate, then restart once it is in.
When Pro endsLink to this section
Cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the period you have paid for. After that, the next check answers expired and Pro scripts that check a licence stop running. Your coupon is deleted when Pro lapses, so nothing new can be claimed.
Remove or replace Pro scripts on live servers before your subscription ends, so your players are not affected. If you subscribe again, the same key works again. How Pro works covers the rest.
