Fewer resources, better quality.
Forward Development makes FiveM scripts and Minecraft plugins. Each one is documented and tested on a clean server before it ships.
Scripts, tools and docs
We build for server owners who want something that works out of the box, with a config they can read and an install of a few lines.
Every release is tested on a clean server and ships with its own docs page. When something is beta, the release says what is untested.
What we make
Four kinds of work, one bar. Fewer releases, each one finished.
Scripts
FiveM resources, each named
fwd-so you can find it in your server’s file tree. Versioned with semver, with notes that name the breaking change first.Plugins
Minecraft plugins built to the same bar: one jar for the plugins folder, the same docs page, the same changelog.
Docs
One page per release: installation, every config key with its default, every exported function and every dependency with its minimum version.
Tools
The API, the Pro portal and the console that run the catalog and Pro behind the scenes. Built by us, to the same standard.
Four scripts that clear the bar beat twenty that don't.
If it can't clear the bar, it doesn't ship.
Every release goes through this list. Part of it isn’t left to discipline: the catalog rejects names without fwd-, versions that aren’t semver, and any beta or breaking change without a note.
- A docs page covering installation, config and every exported function
- Tested on a clean server, not just the dev machine
- Every dependency named, with its minimum version
- Every config key documented, defaults included
- Breaking changes named, with the old and the new value
- A semver version that matches the tag in git
- A licence file in the repo
- Beta labelled beta, with what is untested
What a release looks like
The plugin, its post in Discord, its docs page and its place in the changelog. Every part built to the same bar.
Name, version, one sentence, two tags.
The release card is the unit everything else is built from: the post, the docs page, the changelog entry. If it doesn’t fit on the card, it isn’t clear yet.
Installing is a few lines, and the docs page says which.
